Summer Heart Releases New Single, Announces New EP + Shows

Swedish singer-songwriter/multi-instrumentalist David Alexander (a.k.a. Summer Heart) is back with his nostalgic low-fi sound. Summer Heart just released his latest summery tune, “The Forbidden,” utilizing an eclectic mixtures of vocals, guitars, synths, bass, and drum machines to craft the dream-like pop song.

Summer Heart also confirmed that he will be a featured performer at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin, from March 15th – 20th. Additionally, you can also catch Summer Heart performing at Brooklyn’s famed Knitting Factory in New York on March 23rd.

Summer Heart Releases New Single, “Sleep”

As the weather gets colder, some of us are still gripping onto the songs of the summer. Thankfully, Summer Heart can help with that. The Swedish-based musician recently unveiled his latest single, “Sleep,” which is due out on Thursday, the 20th of November. The track follows hot on the heels of his single “U Got All I’m Looking 4,” and is already receiving critical acclaim.

Summer Heart Releases New Single, “Sleep”

Summer Heart is about to head out to the UK on a 7-night tour, kicking off at The Old Blue Last, and hitting London, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, et cetera. You can also see the tour dates below.

Rumors of another big UK/EU/US tour are surfacing too with a new LP due early in 2015, next year this will be an act to look out for.  With a new album expected early next year and a short European tour on the horizon, Summer Heart is certainly ready to kick things off in the next few months and will once again deliver a batch of new material to make you long for the sunshine once again.
