Fashion Meets Music Festival (FMMF) has announced the first round of artists confirmed to perform over Labor Day weekend (Friday, August 29th through Sunday, August 31st) in the Arena District of Columbus, OH. The Arena District is home to the Nationwide Arena, the LC Pavilion, Huntington Park, Nationwide Boulevard and McFerson Commons – all of which will be participating with FMMF. The three-day festival fuses music and fashion together to create one entertainment platform experience with seven indoor and outdoor stages, two fashion performance stages complete with runways an a campground. A fashion and music retail marketplace will be located in the Columbus Convention Center. Fans will see performances from critically acclaimed artists such as Local Natives, Cold War Kids, Circa Survive, New Found Glory, Switchfoot, Parachute, Citizen and more with additional artists being announced soon. “Circa Survive is excited to be a part of the FMMF in Columbus, Ohio.” states Brendan Ekstrom of the band. “I was born in Columbus and I always love coming back to see what type of art is flowing from that spot.”

 

FMMF positions itself as the first collaborative fusion festival to incorporate music, with music inspired fashion brands as a unified live entertainment experience, under the brand mantra, “3 days, 2 loves, 1 place – Unboxed in Columbus, Ohio, Labor Day Weekend 2014.”

 

The festival will be assembling a premier line-up of emerging artists and national musical acts along with fashion models, designers, and retail brand names – mixing design, style, song and soul for three continuous days, celebrating the fusion of fashion and music. 250 musical acts will perform on the FMMF campus in adjacent arenas and venues, as well as playing intimate shows in many Short North “hub spots,” 300 leading vendor brands in the fashion and music industries will populate a 118,000 square foot retail presence, producing a fashion and music marketplace. A dedicated runway inside the Convention Center will showcase the blend of the two art forms. In addition to music and fashion, Nationwide Boulevard from High Street to Neil Avenue will be transformed into a streetscape of various cuisine and beverage selections; complete with gourmet food trucks, aerial zip lines, and one of North America’s largest Gondolas, towering 100 feet tall.
