STREAM: Beachwood Coyote’s “Silence”

Beachwood CoyotesLA-based Beachwood Coyotes teamed up with Idobi Radio to premiere their new single, “Silence,” which was recorded with accomplished producer Eric Palmuist (Bad Suns, Wavves).

In celebration of the new single, the band will be holding a release show at The Satellite in Los Angeles, on Thursday, December 3rd.

“Silence” is a powerful track with a strong message that resonates through every line and every note. The lyrics are delivered with raw emotion, perfectly conveying the vulnerable stance they present, with a blues/alt-rock undertone that is irresistible.
“[The song] is about the stigma surrounding depression and suicidal thoughts. It’s something I’ve dealt with most of my life and they’re the most vulnerable lyrics I’ve ever written,” explains Jason Nott (vox/guitarist).
Check out the single, as well as the Beachwood Coyote’s upcoming shows, below:
Upcoming Show Dates
12/3 – Los Angeles, CA @ The Satellite (Single Release Show)
12/17 – Silverlake, CA @ Silverlake Lounge

London-based four-piece Electric Litany are critical darlings, considered to be a “cult band on the rise,” with the likes of Alan Parsons (The Beatles, Pink Floyd) describing them as “the next Radiohead.”

RIP Shirley Temple-Black (1928-2014)

tumblr_n0un3wRM1u1s6k25ao2_500

“Why the silence?” many emails to Planet Stereo ask.

The silence exists for the end of an era, the loss of an icon, and out of respect for this star.

Shirley Temple stole the world’s heart as a child during The Great Depression, taking over the box office for two years in a running. She was America’s Sweetheart, and the rest of the world quickly fell in love with her too.

As an adult, Shirley Temple became a US ambassador to Ghana and Czechoslovakia.

She was an amazing woman, who leaves behind incredible large shoes that will remain impossible to fill.

I like to believe that most of us grew up with her. I know I certainly did. I think I watched the sing-along to “Animal Crackers In My Soup” until the VHS tape wore out.

Her movies were undoubtedly endearing; instant classics.

This will be the ONLY post on Planet Stereo’s page today.

If you can, please try and show some respect for this incredible woman, and take a moment to reflect on her amazing life.

RIP Shirley Temple-Black (1928 – 2014).
