Alvvays Announces Dates with Courtney Barnett, Coachella Debut, and Australian Tour

Canadian fuzz-pop quintet Alvvays are set to continue on their path of success in 2016, announcing that they will be embarking on their first ever Australian tour, followed by three North American nights with Courtney Barnett between two exciting debut Coachella appearances.

Despite their extensive schedule, the band has also been taking the time to work on their next record back home in Toronto.

Coachella & Lollapalooza Ban Selfie Sticks

Oh, happy day! Festival goers, you’re going to have to leave your “selfie sticks” at home this season!

Coachella and Lollapalooza have posted some information on their pages regarding the picture-taking devices, with Lollapalooza politely letting fans know that “GoPro attachment like sticks, selfie sticks, & monopods” are a no-go for this year. Coachella is in agreement; “no selfie sticks/narcissists,” the site quips.

May you all take shots in honor of this announcement (juice box shots or espresso shots, if you’re not allowed to drink, please), and be happy.

VIDEO: Lights – “Running With The Boys”

Canada’s acclaimed pop multi-instrumentalist Lights has debuted a nostalgic new video for “Running With the Boys.” The track is taken from her latest album, Little Machines, which is nominated for ‘Pop Album of the Year’ at this year’s Juno Awards. You can view the video below:

Lights is currently on a sold-out European tour, and will return to the states for a headlining tour starting February 14th in Minneapolis, supported by X-Ambassadors. Tickets are on-sale at http://iamlights.com. Please see below for all dates.
