Last night, Saturday Night Live premiered their 41st season, with Miley Cyrus as host and musical guest. The show began with Cyrus performing “My Way,” as a monologue to review the summer. The SNL cast joined her in silent imitations of this summer’s most controversial people: from Kim Davis to Walter Palmer, the lion-killing dentist.
The SNL premiere also featured The Flaming Lips, who appeared as Cyrus’ backing band for her first performance, Hillary Clinton, who appeared as Val in the Hillary Clinton Bar Talk sketch, and Darrell Hammond who appears in the same sketch as Bill Clinton.
However, it’s Cyrus’ emotionally charged performance of “Twinkle Song” that has everybody talked! The star got quite emotional during her performance, which you can watch below:
Many are saying this marks her as a “real artist.” What do you think?
