Former Chief of Seattle Police Says Case Should Be Re-opened

In the wake of the cease-and-desist letters Courtney Love has been serving to theaters showing the new Soaked In Bleach Kurt Cobain documentary (which allegedly supports claims that Love murdered Cobain), former chief of the Seattle police, Norm Stamper, expressed his belief that the case should be reopened, so as to finally settle if he was murdered or committed suicide.

“We should, in fact, have taken steps to study patterns involved in the behavior of key individuals who had a motive to see Kurt Cobain dead,” said Stamper to Spin Magazine. “If in fact Kurt Cobain was murdered, as opposed to having committed suicide, and it was possible to learn that, shame on us for not doing that. That was in fact our responsibility. It’s about right and wrong. It’s about honor. It’s about ethics. If we didn’t get it right the first time, we damn well better get it right the second time, and I would tell you right now if I were the Chief of Police, I would re-open this investigation.”

What do you think? Should the case be re-opened?
