Last year, UK singer Gabrielle Aplin made her first waves in the US with her English Rain EP. Later this year, Aplin will be making her official US debut with the release of Light Up The Dark, on September 18th. The album comes after her massive overseas success, where she’s enjoyed #1 chart positions in both the UK and Australia, as well as 1.5 million in sales of singles from her international releases.
The new album’s title track, “Light Up The Dark,” was mixed by Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Florence + The Machine) and is available now as an instant grat with a pre-order of the album, along with “Heavy Heart,” which will be available as an instant grat on June 24. A self-taught musician, Aplin has been writing and recording songs since she was 15, and even began her own label to release three UK EPs, all of which charted on iTunes. By the age of 19, she hit her first #1 with “The Power of Love,” and has received 63.5 million Spotify streams, 80 million YouTube views, and 1.5 million total single sales.
