Earlier this week, Collider gave us the first look at Independence Day 2. Taken from a display at the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas, the poster essentially shows a juggernaut-like alien force obliterating our planet…which, of course, is expected in an “alien invasion.” Check out the full poster below and let us know what you think.
The sequel is scheduled to hit theaters on June 24, 2016. While Will Smith will not be returning this time around, Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, Brent Spiner, Bill Pullman and Judd Hirsch will all be reprising their roles.
This seems to be the time for the return of 80s/90s films, what with Jurassic World, Terminator, and even Jem and The Holograms. It begs the question: fun sequels/adaptations or is Hollywood finally out of ideas?
